Apache poi jar files

Can someone list the steps that I need to go through to get this working? You probably don't want the source, you want the binary jar file. Go here and get it. It will contain one or more haven't looked, so not sure jar files that need to be in your classpath when you compile your project. Are you working with a simple text editor and compiling from the command line, or do you have a project in an IDE?

There's almost never an 'install' process for Java utilities like that. Typically there's just a jar file or several jar files which you put into your classpath and that's it. If the process is any more complex than that, then there should be a document near the root of the zip file which explains the process. Yeah, that makes sense, I guess. I'm still not sure what to do though. If I click a few levels down, I see. I haven't seen any jar files yet. Isn't there some convention to follow?

Finally, I looked at the Oracle site for setting up these jar files. I have no idea what that means? Where do you enter the command? Do you use the Windows cmd prompt?
